Charlie Rose Q’d her first open event, Jumpers with Weaves. This event has no contacts (i.e. teeters, A-frame, walk-it), but there are more jump sequences. The weave pole count increased to 12 poles in the ring and she has little room for error (unlike in Novice).

Charlie Rose earned both of her Novice Agility Titles: Jumpers with Weaves (JWW) and Standard, with only 6 runs under her collar! That’s 3 double QQ’s.

We earned her JWW and Standard titles in Pendelton, SC on November 26, 2021. We boldly only signed up for two events, knowing that we needed them both for her to move up a category. Boy, did she deliver! Double Q’s.
Charlie’s very first agility competition was the weekend of October 30-31, 2021 at Wills Park in Alpharetta GA. Charlie earned two Novice Standard Q’s and two Novice Jumpers with Weaves Q’s. She also competed in Premier Standard (which is significantly more advanced) …well that was until she noticed Michelle Gladstone, one of her most favorite people, in the gallery. She beelined off the course and went to say Hi. It’s actually pretty funny, except that it would have been awesome to get a clean run on this difficult course! I call this, the Agility Blooper Reel. Premier JWW was the very first event we ever did. Skill level for this course was difficult. Charlie did great - her handler (me) made several mistakes. Call it nerves, inexperience…. I have a lot of work to become a better handler for my dog.
